A two days' seminar for arousing awareness among the parents of Child Labour was organised by the Central Board for Workers Education, Allahabad in Collaboration with the Akhil Bhartiya Jankalyan Vikas Samiti , Allahabad at its Balrampur House Office on 30 to 31 January 2006. The seminar was inaugurated by Sri V.K. Srivastava, Regional Director, Central Board for Workers Education, Allahabad,
Sri Shailesh Kumar, Project Director, INDUS, Sri S.K. Rai, Distt. Coordinator D.D.W.S., Sri D.K. Singh, Coordinator, C.F.C..A Allahabad, Vishwa Prakash, Ajai Sigh, S.N.Haider, Education officers of Central Board for Workers Education, Allahabad, among other, Participated in the in the seminar ABJVS , Allahabad was represented by its President Sri Krishna Kumar Pandey.
The Project Director, Sri Shailesh Kumar, spoke about abolition of the system of Child Labour stating that Child Labour was a great social evil which must be eradicated tooth and nail. Children
must be sent to School so that they could improve their Career and live a happy life. Sri S.K.Rai, Distt. Coordinator D.D.W.S. also spoke in the same vein and termed the Child Labour as a social curve, stating that the cases of engagement of Child Labour between the age Group of 8 years to 14 years, if brought to his notice, the person engaging them might be taken to task and even sent to jail. Sri Vishwa Prakash, Education officer, exhorted the mothers to keep the size of their family small and to pay special attention towards cleanliness in the surrounding to keep the diseases away.on need for keeping the size of the small and emphasized on keeping the house and it's surrounding neat and clean to keep away the diseases.
The seminar concluded with a vote of thanks by Sri Vishwa Prakash, who also thanked masses for attending the seminar.
One Sri Pawan Kumar Pandey told about the family budgeting and small savings. He stated that the small saving of every day might serve a useful purpose on particular occasions. Sri Sarvesh Kumar Pandey, Field Officer, spoke about the self-help group. Education officer S.N. Haider stated that Child is like small plant which needs Clean water and light at regular intervals for its proper growth, Sri Ajai Singh, Education officer awakened those present in the seminar through video filming while Sri K.K. Pandey of the Akhil Bhartiya Jankalyan Vikas Samiti, Allahabad (ABJVS) cautioned against Aids and suggested measures to be taken to prevent spread of Aids in society.
