Blindness is one of the leading health problems in rural India . Eye is an essential and vital organ of the body of every living being. The importance of eyes, its safety and security can not be described in words. Akhil Bhartiya Jankalyan Vikas Samiti holds free eye camps every year, where free screening of eye diseases and follow-up surgery/treatment at no charge. Operations are performed by leading eye surgeons from the D.B.C.S., Pratapgarh & Allahabad and the patients receive free eyeglasses as well as food and drink. Much importance is accorded to ensure that all patients enjoy the same care and high quality service, regardless of their economic status.
Akhil Bhartiya Jankalyan Vikas Samiti organised annual eye camps in two Districts' of Uttar Pradesh, in order to offer accessibility of eye care services to the community. These services, which target economically, deprived rural communities, include complete checkup of the Eyes of the poor people in the remote rural areas, operations of the Eyes of those patients as are considered essential by the Eye Specialist cooperating with the Samiti. And provision of free medicine, food and Hospitalization of the patients.
